Low-maintenance water level indicators with ball floats.
Water level indicators are essential for monitoring the amount of water you use when watering. With a bit of practice and the right instinct, you can water your plant even without an indicator – just give it a quick feel with your finger, and you’re done. For everyone else, it’s important that the water level indicator works reliably. You should therefore check regularly that it’s working properly, as the indicator can occasionally get stuck due to dirt. When using potting compost, use garden fleece as a separating layer to keep the water reservoir clean. With hydroponic set-ups, you should also remove limescale deposits regularly.
