BIKEBLOCK 2.0, 3.0 or LOCK – which one’s right for you?

BIKEBLOCK 2.0: for your lightweight bike.
With the BIKEBLOCK 2.0, you slide the rear wheel into the concrete block. If the front wheel tends to turn to one side, you can secure it to the frame using the strap provided. With well-balanced, lightweight bikes, this is often not necessary. If you want to park your bike and lock it at the same time, you can use a single BIKEBLOCK for this – the 2.0 with optional lock mount.
2.0 is the right choice for you if you want to park a lightweight bike and, if necessary, align the front wheel using a strap.
BIKEBLOCK 3.0: with additional front wheel mount
With the BIKEBLOCK 3.0, too, the bike is held by the rear wheel. In addition, there is a separate bracket under the front wheel. Its adjustable clamps align the wheel and prevent it from turning unintentionally. There is no need for a strap.
3.0 is the right choice for you if you’re parking a heavier bike or prefer to align the front wheel without a strap.
The specified dimensions apply to both bike racks: 26 or 28-inch wheel size and 20–50 mm tyre width. Check these before making your choice – the designation ‘e-bike’ or ‘mountain bike’ alone is not sufficient. If you want to park and lock your bike at the same time, you can use a single BIKEBLOCK for this – the 3.0 with an optional lock mount.

LOCK is designed for situations where you primarily need an additional locking point. You secure your cargo bike, trailer or similar to the block using a suitable lock. The heavy, angular block then makes it difficult to push or carry away. The block is not a substitute for a permanently installed bike rack and does not provide complete protection against theft.
A bike lock is not included. The lock mount has a diameter of 32 mm; the shape and usable length of the lock must also be suitable for this fitting.
LOCK is the right choice for you if, for example, you already have a cargo bike and want to connect it to a mobile concrete block as well.
Is 3.0 the successor everyone should choose?
Your bike is the key factor: the 2.0 remains the right choice for lightweight bikes; the 3.0 comes with a separate front-wheel mount. The model number alone shouldn’t determine your decision. The front-wheel mount on the 3.0 version is very sophisticated and high-quality – and comes at a price! You can reorder the aluminium disc at any time.
Can I add a front-wheel mount to my BIKEBLOCK 2.0?
Yes. According to the technical specifications, the front wheel support – available separately – is compatible with the 2.0 and 3.0 models. Its two clamps can be adjusted to suit the tyre width and the desired front wheel position. View the front wheel support.
Do I need to drill a hole or lift the bike up?
Permanent installation is not required for use. With the 2.0 and 3.0 models, the bike remains on the ground; you simply push the rear wheel into the block.
