A heavy bike. Just left there.

E-bikes, mountain bikes and heavy city or trekking bikes place different demands on a bike rack. Greater weight, suspension forks, wide handlebars or a centre of gravity towards the front often cause the front wheel to turn to one side once the bike has been parked. The BIKEBLOCK 3.0 was developed precisely for this purpose. The rear wheel is simply inserted into the solid concrete block. The specially designed internal structure accommodates tyres of various widths and secures the bike regardless of frame shape or mudguards. The additional front-wheel holder ensures that the front wheel also remains aligned. This means it takes up less space than using the side stand.

Your benefits at a glance:

  • Stable and secure without drilling, no ‘garage-like’ look
  • A design piece made from exposed concrete for the home and garden
  • A statement piece for cycling culture, designed for heavy e-bikes
  • Optional lock mount

Fahrradständer Bikeblock 3.0

For e-bikes, mountain bikes and heavy bicycles.

We recommend the BIKEBLOCK 3.0 for bikes weighing over 14 kg.

Particularly suitable for:

  • E-bikes
  • Heavy city bikes
  • Trekking bikes
  • Mountain bikes
  • Bikes with suspension forks
  • Bikes with a heavier front-end

For lightweight road bikes, gravel bikes, fixies and bikes weighing up to 14 kg, the more compact BIKEBLOCK 2.0 is usually sufficient.

What makes the BIKEBLOCK 3.0 special is its front-wheel mount.

A heavy bicycle is already stable in the BIKEBLOCK when supported by the rear wheel. However, the weight at the front can cause the handlebars and front wheel to veer off to one side. With the BIKEBLOCK 3.0, a separate front wheel holder therefore ensures precise alignment. Two individually adjustable clamps can be adapted to the tyre width and the desired wheel position. The front wheel can be positioned straight or deliberately at a slight angle.

The solid aluminium disc is black anodised. An anti-slip ring on the underside protects the floor and keeps the front wheel holder in place.

The result: no strap between the frame and the front wheel, and a tidy overall appearance.

A bike rack that requires no drilling or lifting.

Heavy e-bikes, in particular, are not something you want to be lifting onto a wall mount every day. With the BIKEBLOCK, the bike stays on the floor. The concrete block is simply positioned where you want it. No fixing to the wall or floor is required. To park the bike, the rear wheel is retracted and the front wheel is positioned in the holder. This makes the BIKEBLOCK particularly suitable for rented flats, hallways, cellars, offices or rooms where drilling is not possible or not permitted.

The total footprint in the upright parking position is significantly smaller than that of a side stand.

When the bike is part of your home.

A high-quality bicycle is no longer just a means of transport. For many, it is a piece of sports equipment, a daily companion and a design statement. So why should the bike rack look like something you’d find in a workshop or bike storage room? The BIKEBLOCK 3.0 reduces the bike rack to a clean, geometric form. Exposed concrete, aluminium and the bicycle itself define its look. This means that even a large e-bike can be seamlessly integrated into a hallway, living room, loft or office.

Concrete grey or black.

Concrete grey

The natural exposed concrete finish deliberately showcases the material as it is. Minor variations in texture and finish are part of the character of this handcrafted product and make every BIKEBLOCK a unique piece.

Black

In black, the solid concrete block takes on an even more understated and graphic appearance. The hard-wearing coating protects the surface and makes tyre marks much less visible.

Available with a lock mount as an option.

Would you like to do more than just park your bike – would you also like to secure it to the BIKEBLOCK? Then choose the BIKEBLOCK 3.0 with lock mount.

The continuous slot in the concrete body accommodates bike locks with a diameter of up to 32 mm. This creates a sturdy, mobile securing point in addition to the bike rack. Important: The BIKEBLOCK is not anchored to the ground and is not a substitute for a permanently installed cycle rack. However, the lock mount makes it more difficult to push or carry the bike away spontaneously and provides an additional security option.

Would you like to secure a cargo bike, a child trailer or another vehicle and don’t need the cycle rack function?

Then the BIKEBLOCK LOCK is the right choice.

BIKEBLOCK with anti-theft device – an extra securing point.

Security – exactly where it’s needed. The BIKEBLOCK is not a substitute for a bike rack permanently anchored to the ground. However, it fills a gap that many cycle owners encounter on a daily basis:

  • park it outside the front door
  • leave it in the stairwell
  • park in the underground car park
  • in the carport
  • in the courtyard
  • at work
  • in the holiday flatg

Anywhere where a bike shouldn’t be left unsecured. After all, it’s not just the bike that’s often a valuable companion. Child trailers such as the Thule Chariot, cargo bikes or high-quality transport trailers are part of everyday life for many families. After a ride or a trip to the shops, they’re often left outside the front door or in the stairwell – exactly where there’s usually no way to lock them securely. With its solid construction, the BIKEBLOCK becomes a formidable physical barrier. When used with a suitable lock, it makes it considerably more difficult for someone to simply carry off or push away a bike or trailer, providing a flexible security solution where none would otherwise be available.

Whether it’s a road bike, e-bike, cargo bike or child trailer – whatever matters to you requires an extra securing point. The BIKEBLOCK with lock mount creates a physical barrier exactly where there are no fixed mooring points.

Craftsmanship rather than mass production.

Every BIKEBLOCK is a unique, handcrafted piece.

The production of a BIKEBLOCK begins with a specially developed concrete mix. Over many years, we have continuously refined the material, the manufacturing process and the surface quality – through countless trials, setbacks and our commitment to achieving an exceptional exposed concrete finish on all five sides.

The concrete is poured using a specially developed process that requires a great deal of experience and a delicate touch. This is the only way to achieve the exceptionally dense and uniform exposed concrete surface that characterises the BIKEBLOCK.

Unlike many concrete products, the smooth exposed concrete texture is not limited to the top surface. The exposed sides all round also impress with a uniform, smooth surface with barely visible air pockets or sedimentation. The result is a concrete structure that looks high-quality from every angle.

Once removed from the mould, each BIKEBLOCK is sanded by hand. The surface is then given a special finish which compacts and hardens the concrete. This results in a particularly durable, smooth texture. The surface does not chalk, is easy to maintain and retains its attractive appearance over time.

Shipping 18 kg of concrete around the world isn’t something you can just do on a whim. We’ve spent years developing and optimising the packaging too. It provides reliable protection for the BIKEBLOCK and ensures safe delivery – both nationally and internationally.

From time to time, we offer items with minor cosmetic imperfections as second-grade goods.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions about BIKEBLOCK 3.0

Which bikes is the BIKEBLOCK 3.0 suitable for?

The BIKEBLOCK 3.0 has been designed specifically for heavy bikes. We recommend it for e-bikes, mountain bikes, and heavy city and trekking bikes, and generally for bikes weighing over 14 kg. It is essential that the wheel and tyre dimensions are compatible. And that the tyres are inflated.

What is the difference between BIKEBLOCK 2.0 and 3.0?

Both models secure the bike by holding the rear wheel in the solid concrete block. The key difference lies in the front wheel: with the BIKEBLOCK 2.0, it can be secured to the frame with a strap if required. With the BIKEBLOCK 3.0, a separate front-wheel holder performs this function. For lightweight bikes weighing up to 14 kg, we recommend the BIKEBLOCK 2.0. For heavier bikes and e-bikes, the BIKEBLOCK 3.0 is the more convenient solution.

Warum benötigt ein E-Bike eine zusätzliche Halterung für das Vorderrad?

Heavy bicycles often have more weight at the front. Suspension forks, motors, large handlebars or additional fittings can also cause the front wheel to veer off to one side once the bike has been parked. The BIKEBLOCK 3.0’s front wheel holder prevents this unintentional veering and keeps the bike in the desired position.

Does the front wheel mount need to be fixed to the floor?

No. The bracket rests directly on the floor and does not need to be screwed or glued in place. A non-slip ring on the underside improves stability and protects delicate floors. However, the disc can be screwed into place. There is a suitable hole provided.

Can I adjust the front wheel mount to fit my bike?

Yes. Two clamping jaws can be individually adjusted to suit the tyre width and the desired position of the front wheel. This allows the wheel to be positioned either straight or at a slight angle.

Do I have to lift my e-bike into the BIKEBLOCK?

No. When parked, the bike remains completely on the ground. The rear wheel is simply slid into the BIKEBLOCK’s holder, whilst the front wheel slides into the front wheel holder at the same time. This is a significant advantage over wall-mounted and hanging racks, particularly for heavy e-bikes.

Does the BIKEBLOCK work with mudguards?

Yes. The bike is held in place by the rear tyre. This means the system works regardless of the frame geometry and even on bikes fitted with mudguards.

Does the BIKEBLOCK need to be fixed to the wall or the floor?

No. The BIKEBLOCK works solely because of its design and its own weight. There is no need for drilling or screw fixing.

Can I also lock my bike to the BIKEBLOCK?

Yes. The BIKEBLOCK 3.0 is available with an optional through-type lock holder. It accommodates bike locks with a diameter of up to 32 mm. However, the BIKEBLOCK is not permanently fixed to the ground and therefore does not replace a permanently installed bike rack.

I just want to lock up my cargo bike or bike trailer. Do I need the BIKEBLOCK 3.0 for that?

No. If you don’t need a bike rack and are simply looking for a sturdy, portable locking point, the BIKEBLOCK LOCK is the more suitable solution.

Can the BIKEBLOCK also be used outdoors?

The concrete BIKEBLOCK is generally suitable for outdoor use as well. Prolonged exposure to the elements may cause natural changes and soiling to develop on the surface.
