Products for the home and garden.
We design products for the home and garden based on Jörg Brachmann’s ideas. His designs are inspired by a close connection to nature, a passion for cooking and an eye for the extraordinary. In his own studio on the outskirts of Leipzig, ideas are turned into prototypes, perfected and mass-produced using state-of-the-art machinery. In collaboration with regional craft businesses, reliable partners have been found for concrete stone and all our plastic components. Through constant communication with suppliers, Urbanature guarantees high-quality manufacturing of its products. We use wood from sustainable forestry and recyclable materials, right down to the packaging.
“We are drawn to nature. It is in our nature. But we live in cities and feel a longing for the original.”

The fast track from idea to series production.
All beginnings are easy – difficult for those who want to force them. We don’t let ourselves be pressured and simply wait for the brilliant idea. This is followed by quick sketches and small models. We then manufacture the new products in small quantities until they become too much for us or we lose interest. Then we are happy when companies, ideally from the local area, take over production for us. This means close communication with suppliers and short transport routes. Our products are perfectly tailored and seem to have struck a chord with the times – product design for urban gardening and natural lifestyle with aesthetic appeal. All green thumbs up: URBANATURE is right on trend.
Our principle – good product design and PURE materials.
In addition to solving problems with new and clear designs, we use durable, high-quality materials. This comes at a price. Believe us, we know how to reduce manufacturing costs too. Compromising on materials, low labour costs or manufacturing in China make low retail prices possible. But we want our products to last and we don’t want to disappoint you.
We process these woods.
PURE MATERIALS also means using woods that are fit for purpose. For outdoor applications, we use certified robinia wood from Hungary and Austria. Robinia is a pioneer tree that grows quickly, is durable, resistant to bending and is the hardest European wood. With durability class I, robinia is more durable than oak. We use ash wood for all indoor applications. The so-called ‘white ash’ has no heartwood and is excellent for staining.
We process these plastics.
We use ASA plastics for our vertical gardens, which have been specially developed for outdoor use. Our BLUMENTROLLEY planters on castors are made from 100% PE plastic, which is thick-walled, UV-stable and therefore more durable than the well-known pots from DIY stores.
Why do we process concrete?
We love concrete. Unlike clay, concrete does not need to be fired at high temperatures. Concrete does not shrink. And wherever plants come into contact with the material, we use recycled plastic. This keeps the pH value constant and the plants thrive. We chose concrete for the BIKEBLOCK because we needed a heavy cube. And we have become very, very good at making concrete.
